Abstract:
PURPOSE:To level the amounts of attraction of materials to be conveyed so as to enhance the efficiency of conveyance by feeding a current which is inversely proportional to the bulk density of the material, to a magnet in a lifting magnet device in accordance with a kind of the material while an averaged value of current fed to the magnet is maintained at a constant value. CONSTITUTION:A current setting volume 3 connected to a change-over switch 1 is provided with volumes 3a through 3d corresponding to change-over terminals 1a through 1d, and accordingly, values of currents fed to a magnet 2 are set by the volumes 3a through 3d in several stages in accordance with the kinds of materials to be conveyed. Specifically, the volumes 3a through 3d are set steppedly so that a large current is fed to a magnet when the magnet attracts a material such as scraps or the like which has a small bulk density and is difficult to pass the magnetic flux therethrough, or a small current is fed to a magnet when the magnet attracts material such as ingot or the like which has a large bulk density and is easily to pass the magnetic flux therethrough.
