To provide a method for maintaining and managing boiler equipment capable of adjusting operation of a boiler and a water treating device in an always optimum state according to a fluctuation in water quality.

Boiler equipment 1 provided with a boiler 2 and water treating devices 3 and 4, and a computer 15 at a management basic point 14 are brought into a communicable state through a communication means 16, and the method is for effecting maintenance and management based on the information by the communication. Water quality information from water quality measuring sensors 11 and 12 situated at the boiler equipment is received by the computer 15. Based on the received water quality information, it is decided whether change of treating operation of the boiler 2 or the water treating devices 3 and 4 is needed. In case the change is needed, a change command signal is transmitted from the computer 15 to the boiler 2 or the water treating devices 3 and 4 through the communication means 16.
