PURPOSE: Fish meats cut off with meat collector are fed into centrifugal decanter to be separated into the liquid and solid componenets, whereby the energy consumed in each step is saved, the processing time is shortened and ground fish meat of uniformity and good quality is obtained.
CONSTITUTION: Fish meat from collector is fed through conveyro 4 into water tank 31. Water is pumped through pipe 42 into the tank 31 at the uppermost rate, the meat is sent through pump 32 to centrifugal decanter 33. The meat exposed to water is excluded out of the solid outlet in the separator 33 into water tank 34. Water is pumped into tank 34 at the uppermost rate and the exposed meat is sucked by pump 35 into centrifugal decanter 36. The water separated in the decanter 36 is exhausted out of pipe 52 and the dewatered meat is excluded out of the solid outlet in the decanter and sent by conveyor 51 to the next straining step.
