Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE ELECTRICAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3181263
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To peel an electrode formed in a PTC element through generation of gas at the time of operating bridging to the PTC element by electron beam irradiation.
SOLUTION: This is a method for manufacturing an electric device 1, including a PTC element 10 constituted of a bridge conductive polymer, and two electrodes 2 and 3 which can be connected with a power source, so that currents can be generated through the PTC element 10. In this method, the PTC element 10 is subjected to radiation bridging by using an electron beam, and one of the following conditions that (a) an average irradiating speed be at most 3.0 Mrad/minute, and (b) irradiated amount absorbed by each current supplying part of the PTC element is at least 50 Mrad, and any part of the PTC element in contact with the electrode does not reach a temperature higher than (Tm-60)°C (Tm is the temperature measured at the peak of a heat absorption curve obtained by a differential scanning calorimeter indicated by a polymer having the minimum melting point in a polymer element) is fulfilled.
