Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing anisotropic magnet powder, which is capable of obtaining a bonded magnet that has a superior permanent demagnetization factor.
SOLUTION: RFeB material (R: rear earth element) is subjected to a low- temperature hydrogenation process, a high-temperature hydrogenation process, and a first exhaust process, through which RFeBHX powder as hydrogenated matter is manufactured, diffusion powder formed of hydrogenated dysprosium is mixed into RFeBHX powder (material powder of anisotropic magnet powder) as the starting material; and the mixture is subjected to a diffusion thermal process and a dehydrogenation process, by which anisotropic magnet powder having high coercive force and superior in anisotropic properties can be obtained. A bonded magnet, formed of the above anisotropic magnet powder, has a superior permanent demagnetization factor.
