Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a butene oligomer which is odorless and is excellent in oxidation stability.
The method for manufacturing a butene oligomer comprises polymerizing a butane-butene mixture fraction in the presence of an acid catalyst to form an oligomer, subjecting the oligomer to hydrogenation after separating a required fraction by distillation, or separating a required fraction by distillation after subjecting the oligomer to hydrogenation, and then subjecting the oligomer to deodorizing treatment, wherein the moisture content in the oligomer subjected to deodorizing treatment is controlled to 50 ppm or lower.
