Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes for an electron emission device which realizes uniform electron emission, driving at a low voltage and a long life, which can be made large in size and which can reduce the cost.

The method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes is carried out by disposing a metal thin wire 2 or a metal tape on a holding chip 1 and growing carbon nanotubes 5 on the metal thin wire or the metal tape by chemical vapor deposition.
