To provide a method for manufacturing a cast body for lead battery at a low cost with which the unevenness of molten metal supplying quantity into a molten metal supplying trough 5 for molten lead alloy 14 is reduced and the deteriorated product is little.
The molten lead alloy 14 from a pipe line 3 is supplied into the molten metal supplying trough 5 heated with a heater by opening a switching valve 4. Then, the mass of the molten lead alloy 14 supplied into the molten metal supplying trough 5 from the switching valve 4 is measured with a load-cell 23. In the case of reaching the mass of the measured molten alloy 14 to a fixed value, the molten alloy supplying into the molten metal supplying trough 5 is stopped by closing the switching valve 4 and the molten alloy 14 in the molten metal supplying trough 5 is supplied into a mold 13 in a casting machine 6 and solidified and separated from the mold to manufacture the cast body for lead battery.
