Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode plate manufacturing method to obtain a uniform coating film which is not likely to be seen through or streaked, while using polyacrylic acid-based binder.SOLUTION: Electrode active material powder, binder, and a dispersion medium are mixed to prepare active material paste. The active material paste is formed into a membrane and stuck onto a current collector foil, to manufacture an electrode plate. In a step of preparing the active material paste, water to be used as the dispersion medium, and polyacrylate salt having a crosslinked structure with a predetermined viscosity to be used as the binder are mixed to obtain a premix mixture. The resultant premix mixture and at least the electrode active material powder are mixed to obtain active material paste. In the case of sodium polyacrylate, the amount of binder to be added is within a range from 0.5 to 5.0% by weight with respect to solid components.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
