Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a fringe field-drive liquid crystal display device capable of shortening manufacturing processes and improving the productivity.
SOLUTION: After a gate buss line 11a is formed into the lamination structure of a transparent metallic layer 10 and an opaque metallic layer 11 and the shape of a coumter electrode 12 is provided when the gate buss line 11a is formed, an active area 13 is formed so as to cover the gate buss line 11a. Thereafter, the counter electrode 12 is formed by removing the opaque metallic layer of the exposed surface of the counter electrode 12. Thus, the shape of the counter electrode 12 is simultaneously constructed when the gate buss line 11a is formed.
