Abstract:
To provide a novel and improved method of producing a unidirectional magnetic steel sheet, the method enabling a glass coating film excellent in coating film adhesibility to be formed on a surface of a unidirectional magnetic steel sheet in which a base material steel sheet contains Se or Sb as a chemical component without damaging magnetic properties.SOLUTION: The method of producing a unidirectional magnetic steel sheet includes: a hot rolling step of heating a slab having a predetermined composition at a temperature of 1,200°C or higher and 1,600°C or lower, then hot-rolling the heated slab to obtain a hot-rolled steel sheet; a hot-rolled steel sheet annealing step; a cold rolling step; a decarburization annealing step; a final annealing step of applying an annealing separating agent onto the cold rolled steel sheet; and an insulating coating film forming step, where a temperature-rising rate in a temperature range between 500°C or higher and 600°C or lower, and a temperature-rising rate in a temperature range between 600°C or higher and 700°C or lower when rising a temperature in the decarburization annealing step satisfy formula (1)-formula (3), and an oxygen potential in an atmosphere in a temperature range between 500°C or higher and 700°C or lower when rising the temperature in the decarburization annealing step satisfies formula (4).SELECTED DRAWING: None
