Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a titanium alloy member having excellent shape accuracy and high strength at a low cost.
This method for manufacturing the high density titanium alloy member comprises the following steps: a mixing and granulation step where titanium powder is mixed with powder of another metal and the resulting powder mixture is formed into titanium-base granular material; a high-pressure compaction step where the titanium-base granular material is compacted into a green compact of a prescribed shape; and a high-temperature sintering step where the green compact is heated at a high temperature and formed into a titanium alloy member.
