Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a metal catalyst which enables the minimization of a variation in the amount of fine particles of the metal carried by the surface of carrier grains.
The method comprises dispersing carrier grains in a liquid-phase reaction system containing ions of the metal for formation of fine metal particles, reducing, with heating, the ions under the action of a reducing agent to precipitate as fine metal particles while causing the fine metal particles to be carried by the surface of carrier grains, and cooling the reaction system at a cooling rate of ≥3K/min.
