Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal member bringing about an extremely good antique look, capable of simply and rapidly performing a process bringing about the antique look and capable of imparting an atmosphere feeling the so-called years in the expression of the antique look obtained on the surface of the metal member.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the metal member bringing about the antique look is equipped with a process for molding the metal member into a predetermined shape, a process for heating the molded metal member to a predetermined temperature and a process for wiping the surface of the metal member held to a heated state with a fiber material. The carbonized fiber material is bonded to the surface of the metal member to bring about the antique look.
