To provide a method for manufacturing a molding, by applying a direct pressure and an indirect compressive force on a vegetable material to form and integrate it, and to provide the molding.
The method for manufacturing the molding includes the steps of: supplying the vegetable material to one place or a plurality of places in a mold, taking into consideration the direction of its fiber; making a shearing force act between cells which constitute the material by directly pressing with reciprocal press means, while making the operation of the mold control; making the positional relation between the cells change, and making the material fluidize; thereby shifting it to a predetermined free space in the mold; filling the free space in the mold therewith; indirectly applying compressive force; and forming to integrate, thereby providing a predetermined molding. A molded article is also provided. An optional three-dimensionally shaped thin molding that has the original fiber structure of the vegetable material reflected can be manufactured.
