Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing a non-tempered high-strength seamless steel pipe which can secure the steel pipe stably at a high product yield without causing bending even when a material with high strength is used.

In the method of manufacturing a non-tempered high-strength seamless steel pipe by passing a cast steel of high strength heated at 1,200°C or higher sequentially through a piercer, a mandrel mill, a reheating furnace, and a stretch reducer to roll it into the pipe, the cast steel is rolled in the temperature range of Ar3 to Ar1 with the mandrel mill, then is heated to the temperature of Ar3 in the reheating furnace, and then rolled with the stretch reducer.
