Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014149988
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of fully bringing out battery performance despite that hot aging is performed.SOLUTION: An aging step for aging a battery after assembly to maintain it within a given temperature range is carried out while a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is manufactured. Here, the aging step is carried out separately in three stages. In a first aging step, the battery is aged at a first temperature within the range higher than 40°C but not exceeding 70°C. In a subsequent second step, the temperature of the battery is dropped to a second temperature lower than the first temperature, and the battery is further aged at the second temperature. In a third aging step thereafter, the temperature of the battery is raised to a third temperature within the range higher than 40°C but not exceeding 70°C and higher than the second temperature, and the battery is aged at the third temperature. Because the low-temperature second aging step is inserted between the high-temperature first and third aging steps, biting of a gas between electrode plates is prevented, and battery performance is secured.
