Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an organic EL element ensuring uniform light emission, by combination of a coating method and an ink containing a low molecular material.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an organic EL element includes a step of coating a coating region, constituted of a pixel electrode and a partition wall surrounding the pixel electrode, with an ink containing a functional layer formation material. The coating region is coated with the ink so as to satisfy the following equations (1)-(3), where θbc is the contact angle of the ink for the side face of the partition wall, and θlc is the contact angle for the surface of the coating region coated with the ink. θbc≤θlc ... (1), θbc≤5 degree ... (2), θlc≤20 degree ... (3).
