Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an oxygen sensor having an excellent responsiveness and smeller temporal change of output in usage.
A method for manufacturing an oxygen sensor having an oxygen sensor element in which both sides of a solid electrolyte is coated with Pt coating films as a pair of electrodes, includes: at least the steps of coating both the sides of the solid electrolyte with the Pt coating films; and heating at least a Pt coating film on a side exposed to a measured object gas in a gas environment having a larger oxygen concentration than an atmospheric gas so as to align the crystal orientation of the Pt coating film in the (001) plane.
