Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture a sintered sliding bearing having gas cavities sealed with a resin for reducing or blocking gaps in the gas cavities in less processes while maintaining the quality thereof.
SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the sintered sliding bearing having the gas cavities in a sintered body sealed with a resin comprises impregnating the gas cavities in the sintered body formed by sintering a green compact or the porous sintered body formed by preliminarily sizing the sintered body with the resin to be hardened and putting the sintered body in a metal mold for reducing or blocking the gaps in the gas cavities resulting from the hardened and contracted resin with pressure plasticizing operation.
