PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a stator by which a high performance stator can be manufactured by effectively suppressing loosening of winding forming a coil when injecting a resin while improving manufacturing efficiency of an insulator by using either one of upper or lower fixing piece of the insulator for locking the coil.SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the stator comprises a step for disposing a coil 3 around an insulator 2 including a cylinder part 2a, a collar 2b provided at one end thereof, and a fixing piece 2c including a claw 2c' extending in the diameter direction of teeth 1a from an end side which is the end side of the collar and corresponds to either one of upper and lower end faces when the insulator 2 is loosely fit to the teeth 1a for locking the coil, and loosely fitting the insulator including the coil 3 to the teeth 1a to manufacture an intermediate body 10, and a step for housing the intermediate body 10 in a molding die M, injecting a resin into the molding die M from the vicinity of a region where the coil 3 is locked by the fixing piece 2c, and forming a sealed resin body 4 to manufacture a stator 20.
