To provide a method for manufacturing a steel plate excellent in laser cutting properties capable of economically and efficiently manufacturing the steel plate excellent in laser cutting properties without adding a large amount of alloy elements nor using special manufacturing processes.
The method for manufacturing the steel plate excellent in laser cutting properties is characterized in that a steel containing C: 0.05-0.30%, Si: 0.05-0.50%, Mn: 0.2-2.0%, P: 0.05% or less, S: 0.05% or less by mass in the respective cases is heated and then, the steel is hot rolled and is cooled under the conditions to satisfy the following (a), (b) and (c): (a) Descaling is performed in at least one rolling pass interval. (b) The number of times for descaling is less than 50% against the total rolling pass times. (c) The terminating temperature of the rolling is 900°C or more. After hot-rolling, accelerated cooling is performed at 500°C or more and then, standing to cool is preferably performed.
