Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a vehicular wheel that can prevent generation of cold shut on a disk surface and intrusion of foreign matters from a side gate.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a vehicular wheel for casting the vehicular wheel having a rim portion and a disk portion, molten metal is made to teem from a center gate that is opened in a cavity forming the disk portion and a side gate that is opened in a cavity forming the rim portion in the respective cavities. Since a first porous filter is disposed in a runner leading to the side gate, timing of the teeming of the molten metal from the side gate is delayed compared to the timing of the teeming of the molten metal from the center gate.
