To provide a method for manufacturing a wire netting-rubber composite material in which the wire-netting and rubber are integrated without causing sideslip of the wire of the wire-netting even by flow of rubber in the process of pressure molding.
A wire netting sheet 1 and a sheet 2 of unvulcanized rubber are superimposed. The superimposed sheet is preliminarily heated and pressed under conditions of temperature and pressure not causing flow of the unvulcanized rubber. Thereafter the sheet is heated at vulcanization temperature, and pressed. In the process, the rubber penetrates and fill the mesh spaces 1b of the wire-netting 1. Thus, the composite material S is obtained in which the wire-netting sheet 1 and the rubber sheet 2 are integrated.
