Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING STABILITY OF SEA BED GROUND TO WAVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009002020
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the conventional problem in which although measurement of comprehensive stability to waves of sea bed ground is contributable to reduction in damage of an ocean building by tsunami or the like, most of conventional techniques for stability measurement of the sea bed ground are not practical, and even a practical measurement method cannot be used in a versatile manner since the properties of ground necessary for measurement is difficult to examine.

The method comprises using a pore water pressure in the sea bed ground which is easy to measure to calculate a hydraulic consolidation constant as a wave-responding parameter of the sea bed ground by use of a predominant component of the measured pore water pressure, deriving a one-dimensional pore water pressure coefficient from the calculated hydraulic compaction constant and the predominant component of the measured pore water pressure, calculating an unstable depth of the sea bed ground from the one-dimensional pore water pressure coefficient, and predicting the stability in the sea abed ground in waving.
