Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to directly ask the system administrator for help from the location of the peripheral device unless the user knows the system administrator and/or location.
SOLUTION: When a signal representing a message to the system administrator is inputted to the front panel of the printer 105, the input signal is sent to NEB100. Once the NEB100 detects the input signal, address information on the message to the system administrator is retrieved from a storage device and an information packet containing the retrieved address information, discrimination information regarding the peripheral device, and the message represented with the input signal is generated. The generated information packet is sent to the system administrator by using the retrieved address information.
