Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for opening a woven fabric in excellent opened state.

CONSTITUTION: An outer drum 4 having a number of perforations 3 is put on the outer circumference of a rotary drum 2 having protrusions 1 on the outer surface. A cloth-winding drum 10 having a number of perforations 9 is put on the outer circumference of the outer drum 4 in a freely rotatable manner. A woven fabric (c) is wound around the outer circumference of the cloth-winding drum 10 and the rotary drum 2 is rotated in water while moving the woven fabric (c) relative to the outer drum 4 to open the fabric (c) by the water pressure (pressure wave) corresponding to the amount of water passing through the perforations 3 of the outer drum 4 and the perforations 9 of the cloth-winding drum 10.
