Abstract:
To protect a keratin fiber artificially dyed by direct dyeing or oxidation dyeing, especially human hair, against action of atmospheric factors and, especially, action of light.
In a method for treating the keratin fiber artificially dyed by the direct dyeing or the oxidation dyeing, especially the human hair, a composition which does not contain any oxidation dye or any oxidizing agent but contains at least one photoprotective agent having a log P of not more 6 is applied to the keratin fiber, and then a liquid water/steam mixture is applied to the fiber at a temperature of at the lowest 35°C.
