Abstract:
To provide a compound useful for the prevention and/or treatment of neurodegenerative and proliferative diseases and to provide a method for producing the same.
A compound is represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 is -C≡CH; R2 is a saturated alkyl group; and M is hydrogen or a metal atom). The compound of formula (I) can be synthesized, for example, by reacting a malonic diester with a first halide to obtain a 2-alkylmalonic diester, further reacting the product with 3-bromo-1-propyne, and subjecting the resultant product to hydrolysis and decarboxylation.
