Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely preserving food in which an accident due to food can be avoided even if there is a secondary pollution due to bacteria in a part of the food, and a vacuum-sealed preserving vessel using the method. SOLUTION: Foodstuffs to be cooked by heat are placed in a vessel body 3 of a vessel formed so as to be airtightly sealed by bringing a cover 1 into contact with the vessel body 3 through a packing 6 and the cover 1 is put on the body and the vessel is heated in a microwave oven for a required time period, whereby the foodstuffs are heated from the interior thereof so that water vapor is generated. Whereupon the air in the vessel expands and is discharged, together with the vapor, to the outside from between the cover 1 and the body 3 and from an air hole 5 under a check valve 4 and at the same time, the foodstuffs and the air are sterilized. After being heated, the vessel is taken out to the outside and the cover is pressed against the body 3 to tightly close the vessel, and if the vessel and foodstuffs are cooled, a vacuum is created in the vessel so that the vessel is tightly sealed and the foodstuffs can be safely preserved.
