To provide a method for preserving a perishable food at a low cost by using a packing material friendly to the global environment while maintaining freshness, color, palatability, etc.
In a farming affair, broccolis 30 are arranged in a corrugated box 10 on which a freshness preservation bag 20 is laid and water is sprayed on the broccolis 30. In a separation place, plural corrugated boxes 10 are placed on a pallet 40, delivered to a vacuum precooling chamber 50 and the broccolis are precooled in vacuum. Further, the plural corrugated boxes 10 on the pallet 40 are delivered to a cold insulation box 60 and an opening of the freshness preservation bag 20 is closed. In the cold insulation box 60, cooled air forcibly sent from a cooler 62 is circulated through ventilation hole 12 and the broccolis 30 in the corrugated boxes 10 are cooled. Then the broccolis 30 in the corrugated boxes 10 are preserved or transported and shipped while being subjected to cold storage in a container, warehouse or cold insulation box.
