Abstract:
PURPOSE: To always stably produce a steel sheet blank for working free from inclusion defects by preventing the clogging in a nozzle for continuous casting.
CONSTITUTION: This method for preventing the clogging in the nozzle for continuous casting comprises using gas alone having the higher reducing power than the reducing power of Al or using an inert gas in common and continuously or intermittently supplying a gaseous mixture having a reducing gas concn. of ≥0.1% into the nozzle for supplying molten steel through refractories having a total content of ≥50% of one or more kinds among ZiO2, MgO and CaO.
