To provide a method for preventing an electrodeposition coating apparatus from corrosion without causing any problems in performance of the coating, and a composition of less corrosive electrodeposition paint.
The method for preventing a composing metal of a circulation way in the electrodeposition coating apparatus comprises adding molybdate ions of 5-500 ppm in the lead-free electrodeposition paint. The above method further comprises adding molybdate based pigment in the electrodeposition paint, which can supply molybdate ions through the elution. The composition of the cationic electrodeposition paint superior in a corrosion preventing property for the circulation way of the electrodeposition coating apparatus, which includes molybdate based pigment of 0.01-1.0 wt.% in the electrodeposition paint.
