PURPOSE: To prevent an end mark generating at a strip coil, by inserting a thick corrugated fibreboard in the length of the irreducible minimum of request into a lapped part between the front end of the strip and the surface of the 1st one coil of the strip when the strip is coiled up by a coiling reel.
CONSTITUTION: A cold-rolled strip 2 rolled out from a rolling stand 6 is coiled up by a coiling reel 1 through a deflector roll 5. In this case, a corrugated fibreboard inserting device 7 is arranged between the stand 6 and the roll 5, a thick corrugated fibreboard 4, cut into 300W500mm length of the irreducible minimum of request, is fed onto the surface of the strip 4 by a guide 10. The fibreboard 4 is inserted into the lapping part 12 between the tip 2' of the strip 2 and the surface of the 1st one coil of the strip 2 to act as a cushioning material, and it prevents the generation of an end mark at the strip to be succeedingly coiled.
