Title:
METHOD FOR PREVENTING FLOATING LIGHT BUOY FROM DEPOSIT OF CREATURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63258291
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a buoy body from the deposit of marine creatures by mounting a positive electrode plate on a portion of the buoy body sunk in water, making the positive electrode of buoy body, making a negative electrode of an anchor chain of a floating light buoy and supplying continuously or intermittently weak DC current across said both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode plate 4 is mounted on a portion of a buoy body 2 sunk in water to make a positive electrode of the buoy body 2 and negative electrod is made of an anchor chain 1. Surplus power from a wave force generator, battery and other power supply provided on a floating light buoy is utilized to supply continuously or intermittently weak current across both positive and negative electrodes. As a result, since a small amount of chlorine gas is produced from the positive electrode side, the portion of buoy body 2 sunk in water can be prevented from the deposit of marine creatures such as shells, seaweeds or the link. Thus, labor and cost needing for maintenance such as cleaning of the floating light buoy can be reduced.
