Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a crosshead of a roll cross mill which can maintain accuracy of the crosshead without replacing the crosshead body and by correcting inclinations in the up and down direction of up and down work roll cross liners.
SOLUTION: A method for processing a crosshead of the roll cross mill characterized by the features that curving surfaces 26, 28, 36, 38 in the side of up and down work roll chocks 12, 14 of the cross head bodies 24, 25, 34, 35 of up and down crossheads 19, 20, 21, 22 are processed at a fixed curvature on the basis of the flat portion of up and down backup roll cross liners 31, 33, 41, 43.
