Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a dental acrylic resin which can reduce a cure shrinkage, created in monomer/polymer molding using a powder of a polymer of methyl methacrylate and a liq. monomer of methyl methacrylate, to not more than 0.3%.
SOLUTION: This method for processing a dental acrylic resin comprises the steps of: mixing a liq. monomer of methyl methacrylate with a powder of a polymer of methyl methacrylate; shaping the mixture by filling, coating or the like into a desired form; and conducting polymn. and curing, wherein an org. compd., such as acryloylmorpholine, coumarone resin, vinyl stearate, polyvinyl acetate, or an alcoholic surfactant, is previously added as a shrink inhibitor for reducing cure shrinking involved in the polymn. of the liq. monomer.
