Abstract:
To provide an efficient method for producing a 2,3-dicyanonaphthalene derivative substituted at fifth to eighth positions.
This method for producing the 2,3-dicyanonaphthalene derivative expressed by formula (3) [wherein, R1 to R4 are each independently a group selected from among H, a 1-8C alkyl and a substituted or non-substituted phenyl; and R5, R6 are each independently a 1-12C alkyl] is characterized by reacting a furan compound with 2,3-dicyanobenzene in the presence of a magnesium metal.
