The method for producing 4-nitrodiphenylamine comprises reacting aniline with nitrobenzene in the presence of a catalyst in which an alkali metal fluoride is supported by a carrier. As the alkali metal fluoride, at least one chosen from the group which consists of potassium fluoride, lithium fluoride, sodium fluoride and cesium fluoride is desirable, and as the carrier, at least one chosen from the group which consists of alumina, zirconia, silica, titania and activated carbon is desirable.
