Abstract:
To provide a method for directly producing 7-aminocephem compound by using a microorganism.
A cephalosporin C acylase gene is cloned from Acremonium chrysogenum and the chemical structure is elucidated to construct the vector for expressing the enzyme in the filamentous fungus. In addition, a vector is connected to the alkali protease promoter of this fungus in order to realize the efficient expression of the gene. The fungus is transformed with these vectors and cultured whereby the objective 7-aminocephem compound is directly produced.
