To provide a method for producing acetate esters, capable of obtaining acetate esters from vinyl ethers under mild reaction conditions in high yields, and also having simple reaction operations and having an extremely small effect on and toxicity to the environment and human bodies.

The acetate esters are produced by performing the oxidation reaction of the vinyl ethers with aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution in the presence of a mixed catalytic system containing (1) a palladium catalyst having a monodentate phosphine ligand and (2) amines.
