Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an aminocarboxylic acid amide in high selectivity and high economical efficiency.

This method for producing the aminocarboxylic acid amide represented by formula (III) comprises reacting a primary amine represented by the formula R1-NH2 (I) with an aminocarboxylic acid represented by formula (II) to carry out amidation [in these formulas, R1 is an 8-40C alkyl group, a group, represented by the formula R5O-(AO)n-CmH2m (R5 is an 8-40C alkyl group, or the like; A is a 2-3C alkylene group; (n) is 0-30; (m) is an integer of 2-3), or the like; R2 is a 1-5C alkylene group; R3 is H, a 1-24C alkyl group, or the like; R4 is H, a 1-5C alkyl group, or the like; (p) is an integer of 1-3; (q) and (r) are each an integer of 0-2 and (p+q+r) is 3].
