Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method suitable for industrial production of the aryladamantanes suitably used as a raw material of an intermediate for medicines and agricultural chemicals, a functional material, or an electronic material.SOLUTION: The inventors have found that by mixing and reacting adamantanes, aromatic compound, and fuming sulfuric acid without using raw materials such as hydroxyl adamantanes and halogen adamantanes which require much time and cost for acquisition of raw materials, aryladamantanes can be produced in one step even from adamantanes without having such substituents.SELECTED DRAWING: None
