Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an arylamine having high solubility to a coating liquid and high compatibility with a binder when used for a electrophotographic photoreceptor and capable of stably producing such an electrophotographic photoreceptor, and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having low residual potential, slight fluctuation in surface potential and sensitivity and high durability by the use of the arylamine.

This method for producing an arylamine comprises the following process: the corresponding crude arylamine is dissolved in an organic solvent and the resultant solution is contacted with an adsorbent at ≥35°C to effect purification.
