To provide a method for producing a ceramic composite material, by which the same amount of a hydroxyapatite crystal having the same quality can be deposited on the surface of each base material even when total thickness is large.
The method for producing the ceramic composite material comprises passing an aqueous solution of 30 to 45°C, containing a dissolved component capable of depositing the hydroxyapatite crystal through a stacked material obtained by stacking a plurality of base materials having sites from which the hydroxyapatite crystal can grow. When the aqueous solution mentioned above is passed through the stacked material, a reversing operation for reversing the flow direction of the aqueous solution is repeated at least once in such a manner that the reverse time is within 2 hours, and the ratio of the maximum value, Hmax, where H is the weight ratio of the hydroxyapatite film formed on the base material to the weight of the base material, to the minimum value, Hmin is controlled to be ≤2.0.
