The method for producing a cylindrical cushion layer for a printing base material by bonding a sheet-like cushion tape on a cylindrical support, includes a step of filling a photosensitive resin composition into a recess part existing in the bonding position at both end parts of the sheet when winding the sheet-like cushion tape on the cylindrical support in such a manner that both ends of the sheet are not overlapped on the cylindrical support, and a step of projecting high energy active rays on the photosensitive resin composition to cure it.
