Abstract:

To provide a method for forming fine patterns using a low output laser light source, in a method for producing a printing plate of resin having recessed patterns on the surface using a laser engraving method.

In the method for producing a sheet-like or cylindrical printing base material of resin, a printing original plate of resin comprises a photosensitive resin cured substance having light transmission properties in an ultraviolet ray region, the laser light source used in the laser engraving method is a pulsed oscillation ultraviolet ray laser having a peak output per pulse of 1 J to 20 kJ, wherein the beam diameter of the laser beams output from the pulsed oscillation ultraviolet ray laser is condensed into 0.4 μm to 15 μm, allowing the fine recessed patterns having a width of 0.4 μm or more and less than 20 μm and a depth of 1 μm or more and less than 100 μm to be formed on the surface of the printing original plate of resin.
