Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a fluoroether compound of ROCF2CHRf1Rf2 type under neutral conditions without any strong base overcoming the problems of environmental effects in an addition reaction of an alcohol to a fluoroolefin using an alkali metal or alkali metal hydroxide.

The method for producing the fluoroether compound of ROCF2CHRf1Rf2 type comprises carrying out a reaction between a fluoroolefin and an alcohol under neutral conditions in the presence of a group 10 transition metal catalyst such as palladium.
