Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a friction material, especially the friction material usable for a brake of a track, a passenger car or the like, and to provide the friction material obtained by the method.
This method for producing the friction material comprising a fiber component, a binder component and a filler component and produced from raw materials for the friction material at least through a mixing step, a molding step and a heat-treating step is characterized in that the mixing of the raw materials in the mixing step comprises stirring and mixing the raw materials while heating the raw materials in a dry process to the temperature at which the binder is softened.
