Abstract:

To economically provide a raw oil for catalytic reforming while preventing carbon deposition in a hydrotreatment step when treating a pyrolysis oil.

A method for producing a hydrocarbon oil includes: a first step of hydrotreating a first hydrocarbon oil containing the pyrolysis oil so as to obtain a first hydrotreated oil; a second step of subjecting the obtained first hydrotreated oil to fractional distillation so as to obtain a second hydrocarbon oil having specific distilling characteristics; a third step of further hydrotreating the obtained second hydrocarbon oil so as to obtain a second hydrotreated oil; and a fourth step of subjecting the obtained second hydrotreated oil to fractional distillation so as to obtain a third hydrocarbon oil which has specific distilling characteristics and serves as the raw oil for catalytic reforming.
